2025 Dream House residential course with a private room

• For those wanting to purchase a spot with a private room on the residential courses in 2025

• This price is ￥69,800 for a private room, which you would pay in addition to the main course fee. In total, it would be ￥468,800 for 7 nights and 8 days.
• Please select the course you will join. Course 4 is a 3 day residential course and the fees are different compared to the 8 day courses. 
• Course 4 is ￥195,000 and ￥20,000 for the private room so in total is ￥215,000.

Dream House will be hosting 8-day residential courses focusing on traditional Japanese Calligraphy and Sumi painting. The classes, available to painters of any skill level, will be individually tailored to each participant and will cover everything from foundational skills to more advanced techniques. By the end of the week, you will be able to create your own artwork including your own carved seal. 

The program will include:

• Full board accommodation for 7 nights, including 3 daily meals, snacks and refreshments.
• Twice-daily classes including Calligraphy, Sumi-painting, Tenkoku (seal carving) and Urauchi (putting backing paper)
• A lecture on the brief history of Japanese Art
• 3 sightseeing excursions
• Morning zazen at the local temple
